Adobe Flash Player - End of Life

Adobe Flash Player is now end of life!

What do we know and expect from vendors now that Flash is EOL?

Adobe:

  • Adobe no longer supports Flash Player since December 31, 2020.
  • Flash content has been blocked from running in Flash Player beginning January 12, 2021.

Microsoft:

  • Flash will not be disabled by default from the legacy version of Microsoft Edge or Internet Explorer 11 prior to its removal in December 2020.
  • In January 2021, Flash will be fully removed from the new Microsoft Edge.

VMware:

  • VMware recommends upgrading their vCenter Servers to 6.7 Update 3 by December 31, 2020, and using the vSphere HTML5 Client to manage the environment.
  • Horizon Administrator (Flash) is replaced by Horizon Console (HTML5), which initially released with version 7.8.
